King of Tokyo: Godzilla

The King of Monsters has arrived in Tokyo. King of Tokyo: Godzilla combines Richard Garfield's fast-paced dice-rolling monster battle with the legendary kaiju of Toho, letting players take control of Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Hedorah, Rodan, Mothra, or Mechagodzilla in a fight to become the ultimate ruler of Tokyo.

Each turn gives you three chances to roll and reroll your dice, deciding whether to attack rival monsters, heal, collect Energy, or chase Victory Points. Taking control of Tokyo can put you on the fast track to victory, but it also makes you a target for every other monster at the table. Reach 20 Victory Points or eliminate the competition to claim the win.

This edition adds new ways to keep every game unpredictable. Event cards can affect all of the monsters on the battlefield, while 48 Evolution cards give each kaiju eight unique abilities that can develop over the course of a game. You can play without the Evolution cards for a streamlined experience or add them when you want more variety and character-specific strategies.

The game also features a refreshed presentation inspired by the classic Showa-era Godzilla films, with distinctive artwork and components designed around the Toho universe. With rules that are easy to learn and plenty of interaction between players, King of Tokyo: Godzilla is a great choice for family game nights, groups of friends, and fans of giant monster mayhem.

Best of all, King of Tokyo: Godzilla is a complete standalone game, so you don't need the original King of Tokyo to start battling. With support for 2–6 players, games typically take about 30 minutes, making it easy to get a kaiju showdown to the table and play again.
